In our creative and caring Early Childcare Program, licensed by the Maine Department of Health & Human Services, children are offered a wide variety of activities on a daily basis.  Boys and girls are encouraged to make choices as to how they spend their time and staff members design and lead a fun and engaging variety of age appropriate activities. 


  • Year-round

  • Full time

  • Boys and Girls ages 3-5 years (must be potty trained)

  • AYCC Youth Membership is required (cost of $40 annually)


Program Hours

Full Days          7:00 am – 5:30 pm Monday – Friday

Half Days         AM session 7:30 am – 12:30 pm or 

                         PM session 12:30 pm – 5:30 pm


Full Day           $165 per week

Half Days         $100 per week

The AYCC After School Program is licensed by the Maine Department of Health & Human Services. Within our state-of-the-art facility your child has access to the finest programs available for a small weekly fee.   




  • Licensed for children ages 6-12

  • AYCC Membership is required (cost of $40 annually)

 Most common: Transitional Child Care (TCC) and

Child Care Subsidy Program (CCSP) 


Transitional Child Care (TCC) You may qualify if you can reply “yes” to these conditions: 

  1. You have received TANF in the last 12 months

  2. You have been open TCC in the last 30 days

  3. You have earnings at the time TANF closed, and are working now

To verify this qualification contact the Child Care Unit at (207) 624-5200,

or visit your local DDHS office for more information.  


Child Care Subsidy Program (CCSP)  Three ways to apply:

  1. Print  Child Care Subsidy Application;

  2. Call: 1-877-680-5866 or (207) 624-7999 Mon - Fri 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

  3. Visit local DHHS Officefor a printed application. Find your local DHHS Office  or call the numbers above.

New submissions may take up to 30 days. Apply today!

If you have been denied for these services in the last 3 months, please submit a denial letter along with your ASP registration.

**New Requirements for 2020-2021**

All families who qualify for childcare assistance through a

third party are required to apply for CCSP.

This process must be completed

PRIOR to the child attending the program.

If your family does not qualify, this process can be eliminated.

Supports military youth, 6 to 18; children of  National Guard, Reserve and  Active Duty families may be eligible to receive free membership to their local Boys & Girls Club - the AYCC.  FMI:
