In our creative and caring Early Childcare Program, licensed by the Maine Department of Health & Human Services, children are offered a wide variety of activities on a daily basis.  Boys and girls are encouraged to make choices as to how they spend their time and staff members design and lead a fun and engaging variety of age appropriate activities. 


  • Year-round

  • Full time

  • Boys and Girls ages 3-5 years (must be potty trained)

  • AYCC Youth Membership is required (cost of $40 annually)


Program Hours

Full Days          7:00 am – 5:30 pm Monday – Friday

Half Days         AM session 7:30 am – 12:30 pm or 

                         PM session 12:30 pm – 5:30 pm


Full Day           $165 per week

Half Days         $100 per week

The AYCC After School Program is licensed by the Maine Department of Health & Human Services. Within our state-of-the-art facility your child has access to the finest programs available for a small weekly fee.

In-Service Days, Snow Days & Holidays are included in the After School Program price - AYCC Location ONLY.

**The CARES Act covers remote learning day hours through Dec. 31, 2020. This has now been extended through the end of the 2020-2021 school year. Families are responsible for After School Program fee of $65.00/week per child.

Holiday Childcare Schedule

The AYCC is OPEN on: Indigenous Peoples Day, Veterans Day, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Presidents Day, and Patriots Day.


The AYCC is CLOSED:  Labor Day, Thanksgiving & day after, Christmas Eve & Christmas Day, New Years Day, and Memorial Day.


Whether your child's passion is photography, exercise or practical science he or she has the opportunity to learn from and participate in one of our ever evolving Clubs in the After School Program.

Area school districts have received funding from the State of Maine Department of Education's Coronavirus Relief Fund (CRF) to assist families with childcare on days when their children have remote learning days. This funding is available to students from Waterville, Winslow, and MSAD49 school districts while they attend AYCC childcare programs.  Non-school days (i.e. In-Service Days) are not covered by the funding and become the family's responsibility.


Funding extended through end of school year 2021.

Transitional Child Care (TCC) You may qualify if you can reply “yes” to these conditions: 

  1. You have received TANF in the last 12 months

  2. You have been open TCC in the last 30 days

  3. You have earnings at the time TANF closed, and are working now

or visit your local DDHS office for more information.  


Child Care Subsidy Program (CCSP)  Three ways to apply:

  1. Print  Child Care Subsidy Application;

  2. Call: 1-877-680-5866 or (207) 624-7999 Mon - Fri 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

  3. Visit local DHHS Officefor a printed application. Find your local DHHS Office  or call the numbers above.

New submissions may take up to 30 days. Apply today!

If you have been denied for these services in the last 3 months, please submit a denial letter along with your ASP registration.
