In our creative and caring Early Childcare Program, licensed by the Maine Department of Health & Human Services, children are offered a wide variety of activities on a daily basis.  Boys and girls are encouraged to make choices as to how they spend their time and staff members design and lead a fun and engaging variety of age appropriate activities. 

 

  • Year-round

  • Full time

  • Boys and Girls ages 3-5 years (must be potty trained)

  • AYCC Youth Membership is required (cost of $40 annually)

 

Program Hours

Full Days          7:00 am – 5:30 pm Monday – Friday

Half Days         AM session 7:30 am – 12:30 pm or 

                         PM session 12:30 pm – 5:30 pm

Fees

Full Day           $165 per week

Half Days         $100 per week

All payments are due by close of business on Sunday. Weekly payments are due in full on Sundays before the upcoming week of service. If payments have not been made prior to or the day of service, a late fee will be charged. ($10.00/week for payments received after Monday at 10:00am for the week of service.)

If fees are not received prior to the child’s attendance, childcare services will not be available to you. If your child is sent to the  program from the bus without payment, then the parent will be called to make a  payment and/or to pick-up the child early.

The AYCC After School Program is licensed by the Maine Department of Health & Human Services. Within our state-of-the-art facility your child has access to the finest programs available for a small weekly fee.   

PROGRAM PROVISIONS

  • Licensed for children ages 6-12

  • AYCC Membership is required (cost of $40 annually)

  • A hot, nutritious meal after school

  • A wide variety of activities in our triple gymnasium

  • Making friends in a fun atmosphere

  • Exploring and learning in our supervised Technology Center

Fees               

                         $65.00/week per child

                      

  • Families are responsible for paying their childcare fee weekly, regardless of attendance.

  • Pro-rated fees are no longer available for non-attendance due to illness, quarantines, and holidays that do not occur during a school vacation week such as Labor Day, Memorial Day, and the Thanksgiving holidays. 

  • School Vacations require separate registration form and fees. Paperwork will be available 3-4 weeks prior to the vacation.

The AYCC is CLOSED:  Labor Day, Thanksgiving & day after, Christmas Eve & Christmas Day, New Years Day, and Memorial Day.

 After School Program Satellite Location Fees:           

2:30-5:30pm          $13.00/day  OR  $65.00/week

  • Families must choose a 2, 3, or 5 day schedule for each week at registration and are responsible for paying their chosen schedule fee weekly, regardless of attendance.

  • Pro-rated fees are no longer available for non-attendance due to illness, quarantines, and holidays that do not occur during a school vacation week such as Labor Day, Memorial Day, and the Thanksgiving holidays. 

  • Changes to the ongoing schedule must be given to the Coordinator two weeks prior to the change. Billing will be adjusted accordingly.

  • School Vacations require separate registration form and fees. Paperwork will be available 3-4 weeks prior to the vacation.

Unless families are paying personally this process MUST BE COMPLETED & APPROVED PRIOR to your child(ren) attending the program.

 

Most common: Transitional Child Care (TCC) andChild Care Subsidy Program (CCSP) 

 

Transitional Child Care (TCC) You may qualify if you can reply “yes” to these conditions: 

  1. You have received TANF in the last 12 months

  2. You have been open TCC in the last 30 days

  3. You have earnings at the time TANF closed, and are working now

To verify this qualification contact the Child Care Unit at (207) 624-5200,  childcare.dhhs@maine.gov

or visit your local DDHS office for more information.  

 

Child Care Subsidy Program (CCSP)  Three ways to apply:

  1. Print  Child Care Subsidy Application;

  2. Call: 1-877-680-5866 or (207) 624-7999 Mon - Fri 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

  3. Visit local DHHS Office for a printed application. Find your local DHHS Office  or call the numbers above.

New submissions may take up to 30 days. Apply today! If you have been denied for these services in the last 3 months, please submit a denial letter along with your ASP registration.
