DESCRIPTION:Update 4/15/26 – This workshop has been postponed. As soon as we have a new date\, we will update this listing. All registered attendees should have received notification of the postponement. \nJoin us to explore how trauma and the ACEs study help explain the “why” behind big reactions. We’ll look at how stress affects the developing brain and identify common triggers. Hosted at the AYCC\, this exciting community event is designed to inspire kids and families to build healthy habits through active play and wellness-focused experiences. \nIn partnership with the Kiwanis Club of Waterville\, the event will feature a variety of health-focused vendors\, interactive activities\, and hands-on experiences that promote physical activity\, safety\, and overall well-being \nDetails \n\nDate Saturday\, April 18\nTime 9:00 am-12:00 pm\nLocation AYCC\, 126 North Street\, Waterville\nActivities:\n\nTouch-a-Truck with the City of Waterville Police\, and Fire & Rescue Departments\nKiwanis & other community-health related vendors\n\nHannaford\nBe There for ME\nOakland Lions Club (vision screenings)\nShineOnCass\nEducare\nKennebec Messalonskee Trails\nFriends of the Maine Children’s Home / Key Club\n\n\nFree play in NinjAdventure Zone\nGymnasium obstacle course – Fit Kid Combine\n\n\nKids go through a series of obstacles/challenges to try and challenge themselves. Can also compete with/against others.\n\n\nKids that complete the Fit-Kid combine can be entered into a raffle for prizes\n\n\n\nHealthy snacks\nRaffle prizes\n\n\nAdmission FREEEEEEE!!!\n\nDon’t miss this event!
