Maggie Brown, Wellness Director

Certified Personal Trainer, Group Fitness Instructor & Spin Instructor

Maggie has been an athlete her whole life, having played multiple sports and dancing for 10 years, competing with her dance team. Maggie graduated from Messalonskee High School and attended the University of Maine at Augusta for 2 years, studying mental health. She loves helping people learn new things, like how to use fitness equipment! Maggie is excited about the unique opportunity as Wellness Director, to lead the Wellness Team and help the community achieve its wellness goals.

Dawn Gee, Wellness Programs Coordinator

Certified Personal Trainer, Nutrition Coach & Group Fitness Instructor

Dawn has always had an interest in fitness and health. She has a diverse background starting as early as high school when she competed as a  varsity Cross country skier. She has dabbled in circus arts and has competed in Triathlons and Half Marathons. She loves challenging herself with core exercises, strength training, and cardio.  She is dedicated to helping people find joy in exercise to create lifelong habits for a healthy, happy life.

Jamie Williams, Wellness Facilities Coordinator

Certified Personal Trainer, Group Fitness Instructor & Spin Instructor

As a graduate of Waterville High School, Jamie was a well-rounded Varsity athlete in soccer, basketball, and indoor and outdoor track. He went on to attend UMaine Farmington with a dual major in Psychology & Community Health Education, with a focus on Physical Education. Jamie competed athletically at the collegiate level and received multiple conference recognitions for his success in cross country. Jamie has been an integral part of the AYCC’s team as Health Coordinator for more than 6 years and leads youth fitness as well as extremely popular active older adult classes.

Justin Casey, Group Fitness Instructor

Justin has a long history of pursuing a wide array of physical fitness interests. In High school he competed in track and field, football, and cross county running. He ran an instrumental fencing club at the King’s College in NYC while a student there in 2012-2014. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoys archery, axe-throwing, hiking, hunting, fishing, and even bird watching! He took boxing classes from 2017 to 2018 while living in Michigan and continued pursuing the interest another few years after he moved back to Maine. Now when he is not zooming around as our resident Safety Coordinator, he is teaching a Basics of Boxing fitness class here at the AYCC.

Brittany Cates, Group Fitness Instructor

Certified Group Fitness Instructor

Brittany began dancing at the age of 3 and continued all the way through college as a dance minor at the University of Maine. Throughout her dance career she learned the fundamentals of Pilates, strength and conditioning, and the importance of mind-body connection, mobility, and core strength both in the studio and in everyday life. Brittany is excited to share how these practices can enrich both physical and mental health.

Athletic Trainer Coord.

MaineGeneral Medical Sports Medicine Team

Rich joins us as part of the MaineGeneral Medical Center Sports Medicine Teams, where he has worked since 2007. He earned his bachelor's  in Exercise Science with a concentration in Athletic Training, is certified as an Athletic Trainer, and is a State of Maine licensed healthcare provider. Rich's expertise lies in outpatient rehabilitation and Athletic Training services and sports event coverage for middle school, high school, and college athletes.

Jill Davenport, Group Fitness Instructor

Certified Yoga Instructor & 200 hour Vinyasa Registered Yoga Teacher

Jill was originally trained in a heated vinyasa studio and has been practicing Yoga for the past 20 years and currently teaches Vinyasa Yoga, Vin Yin and Chair Yoga here at the AYCC.  Jill is familiar with prenatal/postnatal and children's yoga and practiced yoga through all three of her pregnancies so she is great resource for mammas. She looks forward to seeing you in class soon! Namaste!

Meg Loubier, Group Fitness Instructor

Group Fitness Instructor & Spin Instructor

Meg Loubier is resident of Winslow and has been teaching yoga and ballet for over 20 years.  She recently fell in love with spin and is now teaching Sunset Spin on Wednesday nights.  Spin is a fun and upbeat class with great energy that provides a great workout and gets you sweating and smiling!  Meg loves the outdoors and enjoys hiking and spending time with her family.

Sara Maher, Group Fitness Instructor

Certified Personal Trainer, Group Fitness Instructor & Spin Instructor

Originally from Connecticut, Sara has been a Zumba® Fitness Instructor for 10 years and is happy to be able to bring the class to AYCC! Sara's love for Latin dance started at a young age, coming from a Colombian family where music is a staple of everyday life, and her love for fitness started in college at UCONN. She discovered how fitness can provide discipline, perseverance, and positivity to all aspects of life and she loves to help her students achieve these qualities as well!

Haley grew up in Winslow and spent her youth and high school years playing tennis and Varsity Cheering. Haley says she struggled getting back into being active after having her son, but once she came to the AYCC, she found her passion for fitness and really enjoys working out. Haley is excited to meet new people, teach classes and help people find their love of fitness and be part of their journeys.
