Teen Freedom Art Exhibit at Waterville Creates

April 3 @ 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm
Bright-colored splatter paint is in the background. The text in black reads, "You are invited. Teen Freedom Art Exhibit. Please join us for an evening that celebrates the creativity and emotional investment the teens have made to explore their pasts and break free into the future. Friday, April 3, 2026 from 5:00-7:00 pm at Waterville Creates, 93 Main Street, Waterville, ME."

Join the Sexual Assault Crisis and Support Center and Waterville Creates in recognition of Sexual Assault Awareness Month for an evening of reflection and community. This event celebrates Project Soul Chains, a powerful teen summer initiative led by community prevention educator Maegan Bell. Teens from the South End Teen Center and the AYCC Restorative Justice Teen Program explored themes of breaking harmful cycles, building confidence, and reclaiming identity through journaling, art, storytelling, and honest conversation.

Join us to experience their artwork, hear their voices, and honor their journey toward courage, connection, and boldly walking in freedom: unchained and unapologetic. Light refreshments are available, and all are welcome.
