The benefits of participating in youth athletics go beyond physical health. Our programs develop more than skills—they develop character, learn sportsmanship, teamwork, and the values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility. Your child will make new friends, learn new skills, and gain self-confidence while participating in fun athletics programs.

Climbing Club
Get to ‘know the ropes’ as you challenge yourself and your friends on any of the four, 25’ indoor climbing lanes with over a hundred different combinations that can take you to the top! Safely learn basic and advanced climbing techniques, proper use and maintenance of ropes and safety equipment, belaying, climbing etiquette, and more.

Majestix Youth Field Hockey Clinic w/Colby College Field Hockey
Majestix is back with a Spring Field Hockey Clinic! In addition to Majestix Coaching, our neighbors from Colby College Field Hockey Coaching Staff and Team will be on hand to provide players with fantastic skills and drills!

New England Softball Showcase
Join us for the 2024 New England Softball Showcase August 4-6 at Maine’s Fenway!
Details:
- High school sophomores to rising seniors
- August 4-6
- $495.00/athlete
This showcase is an opportunity for high school athletes to perform in front of college coaches. Coaches will be provided with a list of athletes in attendance, along with their jersey numbers for recruitment purposes. All athletes will receive the following:

Welcome back to Spring Softball Clinics!
Coach Beth LaFountain will offer weekly instructional sessions to improve pitching mechanics and the understanding of proper form through the use of drills.

Youth Flag Football
Program Details:
- Participants: Boys & Girls in grades 3-8
- One game per week per team – no practices
- Games in the AYCC Gyms Wednesdays in February & March
- Feb 14, 21 & 28, and March 6 & 13
- Playoffs March 20
- Championships March 27
- Members $40.00 / Non-Members $55.00 (Financial Aid is available – see the Welcome Center)
Roster Information:
Players will be dispersed across the teams by age level. The only roster accommodations we will guarantee is the pairing of siblings and placing the Coach’s child on their own team. Accommodations based on coaching, or transportation may not be honored.

Pay-What-You-Can Program
The AYCC wants to ensure that the cost of the fee is not a barrier to playing recreational sports. The AYCC is offering a ‘pay-what-you-can’ payment model for various athletic programs. This means any youth can register for a variety of programs and pay what you can in increments of $10, ranging from $0 to $100.
The AYCC is committed to providing this opportunity to youth throughout the 2023-2024 athletic seasons and wants to see this model succeed but needs the community’s help to make it work.
It costs approximately $65 per child to run each program, including sports supplies, t-shirts, staffing, utilities, support services, etc. The AYCC is asking those who can afford to do so to pay the $65 registration fee or consider paying more to offset the program costs of those who cannot afford to pay the $65 rate. Any individual registration fee paid above and beyond the $65 cost to operate the program will be considered a tax-deductible donation to the AYCC.

Open Gymnasium & Indoor Track
The AYCC is home to 3 half-court gymnasiums, two of which make up one regulation size court. We offer volleyball, pickleball, athletic programs including youth basketball programs, plus open gym. Due to internal programming and rentals, it’s best to call our Welcome Center before coming in for an open activity. They may be reached at 207-873-0684.
The Indoor Track is always open during business hours and is included in memberships.
Daily Guest Rates are $4/child, $8/adult, or $5/seniors.

Equipment and Clothing Needs
The parents or guardian of any youth from the AYCC Burger-Roy After School Program, Preschool Program or North End Learning Center who need a basketball or related clothing can request them for free as part of the AYCC’s new Family Wellness Wraparound Program. This program, spearheaded by U.S. Congresswoman Chellie Pingree and made possible by Congressional funding, aims to improve the health, food security and well-being of Waterville families.

Volunteer or Officiate
The AYCC is always looking for talented, passionate volunteer coaches to share their sports passions with the youth in our area. We cannot do it without volunteers and youth can’t participate in games without officials!
