Children’s Health in a Digital World – a MaineGeneral Class

April 28 @ 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm
Free
A young boy and girl, facing away from each other, and are both pre-occupied with their mobile devices. They appear to be standing in a parking lot area.

Social media is reshaping childhood in profound ways, affecting emotional, social, and physical health. In this two-part discussion, child psychologist Anne Uecker will share insights from Jonathan Haidt’s book The Anxious Generation, as a foundation for exploring how social media impacts young people and how families and communities respond. This program invites parents, caregivers, and educators to reflect, share perspectives, and engage in thoughtful conversation about this evolving issue. Pre-registration is required.
