A new year brings fresh motivation – and there’s no better time to focus on your health, your family, and staying active together. Our Winter Session of programming is officially underway, offering a wide range of youth programs, adult fitness options, family activities, and wellness services designed to help you feel your best throughout the season.
Whether you’re looking for swim lessons, youth sports, group fitness classes, or recovery and wellness services, the AYCC has something for every age, interest, and ability level.
Winter Programs for Youth & Families
Our youth & family programs are designed to build confidence, develop skills, and encourage lifelong healthy habits – all in a fun, supportive environment. This winter, families can choose from a wide variety of options, including:
- Youth Swim Lessons focused on water safety, confidence, and proper technique
- Mid-Maine Dolphins Swim Team, ideal for youth looking to train, compete, and grow as swimmers
- Recreational & Travel Basketball Programs that emphasize teamwork, skill-building, and sportsmanship
- Karate Classes that promote discipline, focus, and self-confidence
- Climbing Club, helping youth build strength, problem-solving skills, and resilience
- Ninja Classes for youth and pee wee ages, combining agility, balance, and high-energy fun
- Kid Power, a youth fitness class designed to keep kids active, strong, and engaged
Families can also enjoy quality time together during Family Open Swim, Open Gym, and open NinjAdventure Zone hours – perfect for staying active, connected, and having fun during the winter months.
Adult Fitness, Wellness & Healthy Living Options
If your New Year goals include getting stronger, moving more, reducing stress, or prioritizing self-care, our adult fitness and wellness programs are here to support you. Winter offerings include:
- Water aerobics, lap & therapy swim for low-impact, full-body workouts
- Masters Swim Club for adults seeking structured training and motivation
- Pickleball and Open Gym for fun, social fitness opportunities
- Group Fitness Classes for all fitness levels and goals
- Child Watch available Monday-Friday from 8-11 am, while you get in some “ME-Time”
- Ninja Adult Open Gym with Jesse “Flex” Labreck, offering a unique and empowering fitness experience
- Martial Arts for adults, focused on strength, coordination, confidence, and stress relief
- Personal Training, providing one-on-one coaching and accountability
- Nutrition Services with Bethany Mitchell-Legro of Sustainable Nutrition, offering personalized guidance to support long-term health goals
- MaineGeneral Athletic Training, Prevention & Healthy Living classes, focused on injury prevention and sustainable wellness
Members also enjoy full access to our Fitness Center, including a massage chair and two Red Light Therapy booths, ideal for recovery, relaxation, and overall well-being.

Plan Ahead: Summer Camp Registration Is Open
While winter is in full swing, now is the perfect time to start planning for summer. Summer camp registration is open, giving families early access to popular programs, including:
- New England Sports Camps (baseball, field hockey, football, golf, softball)
- Specialty Camps (Adventure, Excursion & Quest Camps)
- Day Camp Tracy – Member registration is open now, with public registration opening February 20
Registering early helps secure a preferred session and gives families something exciting to look forward to as warmer months approach.
