Mark your calendars for May 2 and join us for a full day of excitement as we celebrate the start of the season for our Waterville Cal Ripken Youth Baseball and Waterville USA Youth Softball players!
This all-day Opening Day Celebration will bring together athletes, families, and fans to kick off another incredible season of youth sports, teamwork, and community spirit. While full event details are still being finalized, you can expect a day filled with energy, tradition, and fun as we honor our players and the start of the season.

📍Location – Purnell-Wrigley Field, 47 Mathews Ave., Waterville
9:30 am – First baseball pitch by AYCC CEO, Steve Scraggs, and first softball pitch by Linnane Gaunce from Central Maine Motors Auto Group
11:00 am – Baseball – Minors Purple vs. Minors Black
1:00 pm – Baseball – Majors 1 vs. Majors 2
3:00 pm – Softball – 8U Waterville (Michaud) vs. 8U Waterville (St. Claire)
5:00 pm – Softball – 10U Waterville vs. 10U Winslow
7:00 pm – Softball – 12U Waterville (Belisle) vs. 12U Waterville (Hewett)
Gear Swap for the Play It Forward Trailer
Have used athletic gear, equipment, clothing, cleats or shoes that you’re not using anymore? Bring them to the field with you. You can swap for other gear, or donate the gear to the trailer. We’ve got specific requests for skateboards if anyone has those, but all other gently loved athletic clothing, shoes, cleats, or equipment is welcome. Our Play It Forward trailer is a new initiative to help youth who may not have access to equipment otherwise.
