Step Into Summer with the 100-Mile Walking Challenge – A Member Exclusive!

Summer is here, and it’s the perfect time to lace up your sneakers and join our 100-Mile Walking Challenge, exclusively for our members! Whether you’re strolling through the neighborhood, power-walking on your lunch break, or exploring your favorite trail, every step counts; and now, it’s easier than ever to track your progress and stay motivated with the YMCA360 App!

What’s the Challenge?

From June 1 to September 1, our members are invited to walk 100 miles and take a big step toward better health! This isn’t just a fitness challenge, it’s a celebration of movement, community, and commitment. Walk at your own pace, wherever you like, and track your progress using your favorite wearable device or manually in the YMCA360 App.

How to Join the Challenge

Step 1: Connect your wearable

Make sure your fitness tracker (like an Apple Watch, Fitbit, Garmin, etc.) is connected to Apple Health (iOS) or Google Health Connect (Android).

Step 2: Open the YMCA360 App on your mobile device

Launch the app and log in using member credentials.

Step 3: Join the Challenge

Go to the Activity tab, scroll to Current Challenges, and select the 100-Mile Walking Challenge to join.

Step 4: Start Walking & Track Automatically

Once connected, your activity will be automatically logged from your wearable device.

Don’t Have a Wearable? No Problem!

You can still participate manually:

  1. Open the YMCA360 app (if you haven’t joined the challenge, follow step 3 above to join)
  2. Go to the Activity tab
  3. Tap Workouts
  4. Hit the ➕ Plus Symbol to manually enter your walk time or mileage.

This way, no matter how you track your steps, you’re part of the challenge.
