Stay Connected This Winter: What’s New at the AYCC

As winter weather settles in and our facility gets busier with seasonal programming, now is the perfect time to stay informed and make the most of everything happening at the AYCC. Here are three important updates to help you plan your visits and stay connected:

☃️Winter Weather & Facility Alerts

As we move deeper into winter, safety remains our top priority. While the AYCC makes every effort to stay open during inclement weather, there may be times when we delay opening, close early, or remain closed to keep our members and staff safe.

If a paid program (swim lessons, karate, or ninja classes) is canceled due to weather-related closures, we will typically offer a make-up class whenever possible. Families may choose not to attend a class at their own discretion; however, we will not offer make-up classes in these instances.

🧤Don’t Miss a Beat:  Download the YMCA360 App Today

Winter in Maine can be unpredictable, but staying updated doesn’t have to be.

The YMCA360 app is now our primary source for weather-related schedule changes, delays, and closures. Whether you’re heading to a class, the pool, or the fitness center, a quick glance at the app will ensure you have the latest information before you hit the road.

Downloading is fast, easy, and free – and it’s the best way to stay plugged into everything happening at the AYCC this winter.

The YMCA 360 app is for members only – non-members and guests will not be able to access the app.

Schedule updates will also be posted on our Facebook page, website on our Schedules page, and emails will be sent as well. Check with the Welcome Center for assistance.

🏀Basketball Season is Here! Plan Ahead for Open Gym Time

Our Rec and Travel basketball leagues are officially underway, which means our gyms are buzzing with activity, especially weeknights after 5:00 pm and throughout the weekends.

Because of this busy season, Open Gym hours are limited to 12:00-4:45 pm, Monday through Friday. We encourage members to check the gym schedule with the Welcome Center before visiting to ensure court space is available. They can be reached at 207-873-0684.

Thank you for your understanding as we support hundreds of young athletes this winter.

🏓Pickleball on Thursday Nights – December & January

Looking to stay active and have fun this winter? Join us for Thursday Night Pickleball! During the months of December & January (except for Christmas Day & New Years Day), we will offer pickleball from 7:30-8:45 in Gym 3 only.

It’s a great way to get moving, meet other players, and enjoy some friendly competition this winter. Grab your paddle and we’ll see you on the court.

🏊New Pool Schedule Now Available

High School Swim Season has begun, bringing exciting energy to our aquatics center. With their training and meet schedules underway, our late-evening lap swim and water aerobics classes (Lap Pool Only) will be paused until Spring.

The updated pool schedule, including lap swim, open swim, and family swim times is now posted on the YMCA360 App, on the website, and available for pick-up at the Welcome Center.
