Meet Brenna Saucier – Aquatics Director

Hi, I’m Brenna Saucier, the Aquatics Director at the AYCC! My passion for aquatics began early—I was a competitive swimmer with MMD from ages 10 to 18, and I started my career at AYCC at just 16. Over the past eight years, I’ve gained extensive experience as both a lifeguard and swim lesson instructor, working my way up to my current role.

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a Minor in Rehabilitation Services and am fully certified in multiple aquatic programs. My certifications include American Red Cross Lifeguard (ARC), Water Safety Instructor (WSI), Lifeguard Instructor (LGI), and YMCA Lifeguard and Swim Lesson Instructor. Currently, I’m furthering my leadership training with the YMCA to enhance my skills and help develop future aquatic professionals.

I’m dedicated to water safety and ensuring that individuals of all ages feel confident and capable in the water. When I’m not leading the aquatics team, I’m focused on improving our programs to provide the best experience for our community.

Feel free to reach out with any questions about our aquatics programs—I’d love to help!

For even more adventure, try the pool climbing wall when it’s available. It’s the ultimate way to laugh, move, and create memories in the water.

Lap Swim – These dedicated lap swim hours are held in our Lap Pool where individuals can enjoy the perfect balance of fitness and relaxation in our beautiful pool. Incorporate your training plan for the next big race, build endurance, or simply enjoy a refreshing workout. Lap swim offers a low-impact, full-body exercise. Set your own pace, glide through the water, and make every stroke count toward a healthier, stronger you.

Therapy Lap Swim – Discover the perfect balance of movement and recovery in our warm Therapy Pool. Open to all ages, this dedicated swim time is designed for low-impact exercise through gentle lap swimming and personal fitness. The soothing water environment supports joint health, improves flexibility, and provides comfort for individuals managing conditions such as arthritis, fibromyalgia, or recovering from surgery or an injury. Focused swimming only – standing and play are reserved for other sessions, so you can enjoy a calm, restorative experience that promotes strength, mobility, and overall wellness.

Therapy Swim – Also held in our warm Therapy Pool, this session is designed for gentle movement, stretching, and therapeutic exercise. Open to all ages, Therapy Swim provides a quiet, supportive environment for recovery, relaxation, and wellness. Please note-this time is intended for therapeutic use only and is not a play session.

We highly recommend that individuals check with their primary care physician before beginning any exercise routine.
