RED CROSS CERTIFICATIONS
The Alfond Youth Center is proud to offer several Red Cross water safety courses on an ongoing basis.

Must be at least 15 years of age and able to pass swimming requirements. Course: 30 hours, 2 year American Red Cross Lifeguarding, First Aid, CPR and AED certification.
All class days include 30 minute lunch break.
LIFEGUARD INSTRUCTOR CERTIFICATION
Must be at least 17 years of age and able to pass swimming requirements. Course: 18 hours, current Lifeguard, CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications required.
WATER SAFETY INSTRUCTOR
Must be at least 16 years of age and a proficient swimmer. Learn how to teach red cross swim lessons and water safety courses. Course: 30 hours, 2 year ARC certification.
BASIC WATER RESCUE
Learn to supervise children while a lifeguard is on duty. This course is designed for day care providers, their staff and public swim areas.
Course: 3 hours, 3 year ARC certification.
FIRST AID/CPR/ADULT AED
Learn to recognize and respond appropriately to breathing, cardiac and first aid emergencies.
Course: 5 hours, 2 year ARC certification.
Must be at least 15 years of age and able to pass swimming requirements.
Course: 30 hours, 2 year American Red Cross Lifeguarding, First Aid, CPR and AED certification.
All class days include a 30 minute lunch break
CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer
CPR/AED training for the professional Rescuer/Health Care Provider.
Course: 7 hours, 2 year ARC certification.
